Get your workspace ready.

1. Sign in and request access

Use Open workspace to sign in with ChatGPT. Your LotTrail access is approved separately by Michael. If you received an invitation, use the exact invited sign-in email. Invitations expire after seven days.

2. Confirm your profile

Save the name, phone, email, and city you want customers to see. Preview your contact card. Your contact information is only published when you deliberately create a customer link or share an exported card.

3. Connect dealership inventory

The owner configures approved Dealer.com inventory URLs and confirms the documentation fee policy. Refresh inventory to import a complete snapshot. Unsupported sources and incomplete checks show an error and preserve the last complete inventory.

If the dealership blocks a refresh

If you see HTTP 403, the source refused the website’s request. The owner can open LotTrail in desktop Chrome with Companion 1.5.1 and select Sync from desktop on Inventory. A successful complete sync becomes available to the team, including on phones. If the desktop reader is blocked too, an approved inventory feed or dealer permission is needed. Failed checks do not replace a complete snapshot.

4. Prepare a conversation

Save one to three vehicles, then open Comparisons. Refresh details before creating a customer link. Response studio and Sales coach help you prepare a reply; you choose where to paste it.

Use LotTrail on your phone

Open this site in Safari on iPhone, use Share, and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and use Install app or Add to Home Screen. An internet connection is required to load and save your workspace.

Desktop Facebook companion

Open Settings & help in your workspace to download the companion. Extract the ZIP into a permanent folder. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, select Load unpacked, and choose the lotpilot folder. This is a testing installation; it is not a Chrome Web Store release.

If updating an existing LotTrail installation, export its backup first, replace the contents of the same installed folder, and click Reload. Do not run two LotTrail versions together. Refresh already-open Facebook and dealership tabs after updating.

On the website, use Prepare for Facebook on a supported vehicle. The companion uses the dealer page to prepare the draft. You inspect the information and publish yourself. The website records a draft; confirm the live listing and publication date yourself. Website records and older standalone extension history are separate.

What monitoring means

Website checks run when a signed-in user refreshes inventory. No unattended server schedule or push notification service is connected yet. The desktop extension’s existing optional monitoring can still run while Chrome is open. A missing vehicle is marked likely sold only after two complete checks at least one hour apart. It must still be verified with the dealership.

AI and customer information

The website’s sales coach uses guided rules and known vehicle details. An optional local AI rewrite is available on supported desktop Chrome devices after model setup; it is unavailable on many mobile devices. No hosted AI subscription is connected. Do not enter credit information, Social Security numbers, license images, or confidential customer records.
